Purple Hibiscus , represents femininity in a way Kamaka and Aunt Ifeoma are to me different yet the same from Kambili and her mother they show a different type of lady throughout the story. Kamaka and Aunt Ifeoma wore lipstick that was throughout the story commented on and that was worn to show sexual awareness. Kambili tries wearing Kamakas lipstick in front of someone she likes but she then realizes that its not for her however Kambilis legs helps her improve her confidence. Aunt Ifeoma and Kamakas mother are different to me because towards Papa they are different for example when Aunt Ifeoma laughs at Papa and the way he has a set schedule for the kids and the mother deals with him and lets him beat her for to me the dumbest reasons. However she takes things into her own hands and protects her and her family. If you were or knew someone in this situation what would you do? How would you handle it?
